I've slowly been getting out of my funk, its taking longer than usual. I think it slightly has to do with cabin fever. NEEDS TO GET OUTS DA HAUUS, i might go exploring today. 'Tis tuesday and the MCA has its free day today...we'll see, i'm not dressed for the museum. Do you still "get dressed" to go places these days? I do, maybe its my french and/or southern upbringing, but some places you don't go looking like a hot mess, and a mess of hotness I am today. So i think I'll make an effort to go to the Art Institute on Thursday...

Music has definitely been my vice this week. Music and films. I rarely take time for myself to do absolutely nothing. I always feel like I'm working, whether it be personal projects or at work work. I rarely have time to paint my nails. So I took time to watch Whip It again. I really like that movie. It made me cry. Movies about mother daughter relationships always make me cry because as much as your mom makes you outraged, you'd do anything for her.

Not all has been "bad" or "sad" or "meh" I did get new shoes. I really needed new shoes, desperately. The steve madden combat boots i have had are dying dying.

They have wholes in the bottom, and etc. They aren't talking but something happened to the bottom where it makes my arch of my right foot numb. IDK...so new shoes it is!

Luckily I found these bastards at UO for $20, not bad for real suede, they are one of my favorite colours (oatmeal) and have that tomboyish look. They did have them in magenta which the old me would have liked but this new me was like "too loud" and I want something to go with all my coordinates. I cannot wait to wear them with my knee highs scrunched down (sorta like this look in VIVI 3/2011)

I need to suede prep them before I really wear them, so in the meantime I've been wearing another pair of torn boots that don't at least hurt my feet. I hope these new ones will last until the big snow fall of 2012. I want some really nice leather boots, but I don't have enough money to drop for it right now, so these are a great shoe for the meantime, and they are kinda springy as well. I think so.... (my mom would disagree.....)

not sure why i have been feeling this way all sunday. but i've been feeling crazy anxious. have you ever felt just unbelievable anxious, for no reason at all. like you forgot something. but you know you havent. like a compressed feeling in your chest, like you feel like crawling into a ball and sobbing all day under the sheets of your bed like a little child? thats me today i'm not really sure why i felt that way so my best friend figured we should go bowling. throwing stuff might make us all feel better. and it did for a while....

it was fun and strange being around "the bowling crowd" ... looking at exasperated parents, tween lovers and really serious older men via the big lebowski. regardless i reccomend it as a great a cheap (americana) outlet--its like 3 dollars... it helped calm my nerves even though i'm a terrible bowler....like i got a 36...heh..

Oscar Farty

Every year, I have an oscar party, I've been having them since I was a wee one....

Nothing big just a few poo poo platters and some friends. It's always at my parents house because my mom is the one who started the tradition. I hope to always have them. Sometimes we dress up but this year I just stuck with an am appy dress (not pictured) I was feeling lazy & it was thunderstorming..so i felt like blaaah cooold...meeeeh

I made everything you see (mostly vegetarian because of my doing though I did make some hot wings for the kids) I even have my own oscar made from one of those figure drawing statues. Now its a hipster oscar....you love it.

some where complaining that this was the whitest oscars in 10 years, and not because of anne hathaway's pasty-ness but that not one black person was nominated. I bothers me at the same some it doesn't. I wish that we didn't always have to point out the "lucky-black-person" to be invited to the oscars but that we could all be seen as people. At the same time I realize that there are actors and actresses that are black that could have easily played some of the roles that were nominated such as michelle williams's character in blue valentine or mark ruffalo's character in the kids are all right. Keep in mind though not too many asians or latinos were honored as well, except for javier bardem (racism is an equal opportunity) sure it is/was black history month but you shouldn't have to feel obligated to just nominate black people for the sake of a crappy ignorable month were we recognize the same black historians on the shortest month year after year.

in the end I hope to never be seen as "the black vote" or "the black peoples choice" as a "black artist" or "black actor" I just want to be seen as a person, yes I'm black, get over it, i have... we never take the time to say "oh, but this was made by a white artist" "oooooh..good for her..."

lets just stop....(and yes, do put more black people in the media, and no they don't need to be a sassy overweight woman sidekick....we are just like white people I swear....)

did you read the news today? Borders is going out of biznezz, and I couldn't care less. Well let me restate that. Sure I am sad that "reading" isn't as popular as is used to be, and yes even though I find myself conflicted towards books being replaced by technology, thus saving paper and trees but killing a wonderful moldy smelling medium. Plus, sure I do care about people losing their jobs and being unable to support themselves through grad school (bad stereotype....i kno theres REAL ppl who work at borders who support their families..:P) At the end of the day, I would be more upset to see small independent book stores fall through the cracks than mega big boxes like borders who tried to put them out of business in the first place.

And don't get me started on "seattles best" we all realize thats just starbucks in disguise right?

Regardless, I am excited to say adieu to borders because its because the one dwntwn is being replaced by a TOPSHOP (it will be the only other one in the US besides NYC!!), and I have been haunting the website and writing down my faves. But I noticed a trend on the the early spring banner they had on their site, and it got me thinking....

I been had green hair! Before it was...cool. (haha...oh hipster me...DX) I did it back in 2k8-2k9 and now I'm thinking should I do it again?

In the tumblverse I am bombarded with pictures of grungy model-esque girls with green locks and I am tempted to re green myself. Just a few pieces I could tuck away if need be. I love the look! I love how its unexpected compared to pink or red. Its not flattering that it is flattering...here is my inspo....

I just got a new wallet NO WORRIES, it was part of the deal on my spending list. There were things I could buy on this spending freeze besides new mascara and carrots.

I really needed a new wallet so i'm excited. I got it on friday & I just started using it monday AND IM IN LOVE, its more like a mans wallet than a cute silly girl wallet with all forum and no function ( frank lloyd wright gently weeps) I suppose its because its unisex. The colour is super SICK it label said brick so its not quite orange and not quite red. The stitching detail is to die for, because its so mixed matched and fun like yours truly. Plus, did i mention that is marc by marc jacobs?

I also just got this orange orange lippy by cover girl (needed mascara it was buy one get one :P) It's supposed to be silk infused and makes you lips nicer. I think ive noticed a difference especially with this winter skin. Although I always put carmex on before lipstick so it could be that. Its such a fun and on trend colour, I saw this piece in the feb issue of SOUP and I immediately wanted orange lipstick. Its a surprising colour but, it works!

imaginary money

this spending freeze hasn't been too difficult i must say. I thought it might have been harder but i think a lot of it comes from enjoying grocery shopping (lol) AND having imaginary money...

by imaginary money I DO NOT MEAN credit....like credit cards, we all know those will bite you in the booty later. No i mean gift cards and store credit...haha

this weekend I enjoyed a lil bit of shopping on store credit because I returned the christmas cards I did not use and a gift i decided to return (after my holiday spirit had died and i remember how crappy this person is) at anthropologie...I kept the money from the gift because it was like 40 dollars BUT i did use the credit from the christmas cards (because the money was already spent) on FUNNY THINGS XD (a mug with my intial on it (yes my name begins with "x") and cute little pom pom barrets! (shown in the last picture)) I also rushed to sephora because I got an email about getting this hello kitty perfume as a free gift! (SO CUTE SO CUTE) I love that the anthropologie and sephora are at the same mall, I also ran by zara which is also in this same mall (a new mall they just built in chicago where ice skating used to be like 15 yrs ago!) Zara was having a massive SALE & i was tempted by all the red signs that said 9.99!! But it was like piles of unfolded tshirts i was ....

a. too lazy to shuffle through them all..thats THEIR job

b. nothing seemed too appealing....maybe it was the layout, maybe its because i never wear tshirts

all in all i think i did pretty good and didn't spend a REAL DIME (again) haha!

I already LOVE this hello kitty perfume, but i only wear a drop of it when i go out with friends. I don't know why I suddenly love hello kitty again, with the vintage suitcase and all (in my other post which i found at the thrift store for 1 dollar! over christmas break.) I really like vintage 1970s-80s kitty. And what can I say she's so cute! PLUS this perfume smells almost exactly like Coco Madmosielle by Chanel! And it was FREEEEE *in theory* (that chanel perfume is my ultimate perfume!) I might have to go buy it soon before they ditch the label when kitty gets boring again....[ i also saw this cute little girl with her mom gushing over all the hello kitty stuff at sephora, she reminded me of me and my mom and our shopping escapades in the city when i was a kid :') ] The hello kitty juices where just on sale at the grocery store for a dollar, i always pack my lunch so i got those instead of the usual capri sun~

I also exchanged an old comic for 3 other comics and 2 dollars back (pictured above)! (oh power of returns!) I decided that the one comic was too expensive and too much like written by a weebo, this is why i save almost all my receipts because I am the master of buyers remorse.

Finally I got some macaroons! I felt like i deserved them darnit!Today I walked to work in the snow for 2 miles (trying to use a less stressful route *fail* ) and passed this pastry shop thats supposed to have the best macaroons in the city! I used a gift card i got from my dad on them *thanks paw!* I can't wait to try them with some tea tonite. I also bought some toiletries i needed some sponges and a new face towel, and I bought the lashes again with the gift card :P I wanted to try lashes again since everyone makes them look so tempting!

oooooh I love shopping when its basically free! sometimes when i get the urge i just look for stuff to return..and i stretch out gift cards people get for me for months at a time. (in fact the clinique make up shown i just got from a macys gift card i got for my bday)

anyway i think its cookie time! pray that my apartment doesn't blow away! so far the storm has already blown off some roofs by my apartment o_o and the newspaper catagorized the section of the city that i live in as "the end of days..."

zakka zakka

Like many young women who have their own apartments, i want to ZAKKA THE MESS out of it. Zakka really fits my style of loving strange/vintage/modern/japanese things. Its like if Ikea exploded into a japanese thrift store that focuses on western style. (like Grimore) I've been downloading Zakka books all day and been slowly zakka-fying my house. Take a look:

Most of the stuff I find is either from Ikea, vintage/antique shops, gifts and just keeping my eyes peeled for cute stuff. But almost nothing I own to decorate is over like 5-10 dollars (unless its a storage unit), I like to search and find it cheap versus spending all my money on a look i might get tired of. I REALLY want to get like a wooden children's play house/ cooking stove thing. I saw one on Jenny's retro zakka post I think I saw some at Aldi, yes, ALDI, for like 30 bucks.

That WAS around christmas so maybe they will have them again around easter...here's hoping. I think it will make a super sweet book case. Because I LURV BOOKS, and I'm definitely going to stock up on comic books in march when c2e2 gets here (NERD ALERT) But honestly, I used to love faux food as a kid! I think it will not only be a super awesome decoration choice, but a nice reminder of my youth.

I think I'm going to go soak in bath, have a zakka inspired brunch, run to the comic book store, & enjoy the rest of my sundae, so i leave you with some takka takka, because it rhymes with zakka zakka...

I tried but....

I tried to do one of those "30 days" things in the japanese magazine when you have like 12-15 pieces of clothing and you have to challenge yourself on how you will wear those pieces. I had it all set, picked out my pieces was ready to go...

I was inspired by Chikakos 30 day in the Feb issue of Vivi....

but I only made it a week! haha! It DID made me apperciate my wardrobe more, and prevented me from shopping BUT it also made me feel like I was wasting the clothes I owned. SO it was fun for like a minuet but then I stopped..HAHA, but I will show you what I got through so far...

on the first day (middle bottom cord) I went to go see tanlines in concert @ the metro..THEY RAWKED there was like 30+/- people there in the entire concert hall so it was like a total dance-a-thon! Going was a promotional ticket for seeing yeasayer. They are awesome, adorable, and TOTALLY WORTH IT...

interested in getting into them? might I suggest...real life..? They are like dscvry meets yeasayer..a little weird, a little techno pop.

like many of you I'm in the same paddy wagon with trying to $AVE MONEY, and theres many reasons why...

REASON ONE:

kinda DONE with fall/winter fashion, i got all my perks (velvet/oatmeals/bodycon), i DO WANT some Pendleton inspired navajo/aztec prints...

he's a cutie FO SHO...pendleton for OC

BUT i dont NEED a new wardrobe (saving for spring) like jenny im TIRED of having pity clothes. Stuff i held on too because "well remember when i was in my rockabilly/gyaru/vintage/hipster/ironic phase?" or "my ___ bought me that.." or "i saved for that and NEVER wore it" I need to clean it OUT, i want to have pieces I LOVE concise my wardrobe no more FLUFF!! I don't really have anything worth selling, but hey...maaaaybe....well see (like i need ANOTHER project)

but long story short, no more "retail therapy" or buying cause "twas on sale!" i really stopped the sale shopping last year but the retail therapy is an evil bitch....

REASON TWO:

as i stated yesterday I'll be going to NYC for an internship/job/forever...starting in June...so I'll need money to live, rent, food, fun...NY ain't cheap. never said it was...plus pretty sure the shopping there will definitely be sublime...

REASON THREE:

so one christmas gift i forgot to mention was a little something something from my mom...i'll give you a picture clue....

well i hope you guessed it and if not IM GOING TO LONDON PARIS FOR HOLIDAY IN THE SUMMER, some of you may have remember me mentioning this b4, but i thought plans feel through, but they did not! all expense paid, JUST need monies for SHOPPING FOOD ETC, which really means $AVE $AVE $AVE my @$$ off because if i don't i'll regret it :D IM SO EXCITED!!! any tips :D (ive only been to mexico )

--------ANYWAY----------

i realized MORE than shopping, whats really been eating my salary is food....I go out for food almost everyday for lunch or dinner or sometimes both! luckily i have been VERY diligent about packing a lunch and cooking my meals ...aka...less time online. But its been well worth it+ converting to the vegetarian side its been fast to whip up a meal! Im certain ive lost weight, and Its fun to experiment with different meals. I'm saving like 50-100 bucks a week! I'm limiting myself to only spend when necessary (groceries/toiletress/etc)...i did buy two books recently...heh....

and like once a week my friends and I will go to the movies but we usually divide the cost/have movie passes/etc etc that that usually runs me $8 a month...got to have some leniancy in saving or your sure to break...however, we HAVE been getting together making a pizza and watching misfits on the computer...thats like SUPER CHEAP...and fun!

Going for walks also helps with shopping urges, especially to realize you're not missing ANYTHING... I also instead of impluse buy, if i see something i like i wait a few days b4 purchasing..i'll either forget or if I NEED IT by the time i get back it might be on sale....PLUS PLUS i begged my brother (whose an industrial designer) to give me a thermos he made! now i bring tea with me everyday which helps with the starbucks urges! (another 20 bucks a week SAVED)

plus anybody notice that u shop less when its just TOO COLD to leave the house...:D

REASON FOUR:

its always good to save especially when crap happens! or you want to do something FUN, its like aren't you GLAD we did something fun! versus "im broke spent all my cash on a sweater i wore ONCE"

BUT I WONT PRETEND TO BE PERFECT, i did buy some things (i also got lots of giftcards so technically my dad bought some things for me too HAHA!) Just some books to go along with resolutions and this super cool british magazine that focuses on black fashionistas! and a super cool little comic, by a little ole girlie named veronica, support her! GIT IT, REED IT!

I'm super stoked to start that Haruki Murakami book, but I'm currently re-reading works by Ana Castillo! By the By, anybody else love indie bookstores? they are so much sweeter than borders (no offense borders...:/) I want to disappear all mori girl style inside them! hee hee!

as you well know I have almost been gone for an entire MONTH, almost anyway.... I have been trying to spend LESS time on the internet MORE time making art. Too many opportunities have arose in my life too pull my attention in too many directions. HOWEVER, i will still keep up this blog this is why I made it pwetty....

and oh for those who don't follow me on tumblr, I would love to introduce you to the love of my life Cooper Bernstein, he's the mascot in the header, even though he's fictional, he's truly got the best of my love---- learn more about him here. I feel obligated to make a comic about him...will do..later.....

my art

and it has worked. I have been getting more sleep. I allow myself to browse it throughout the day BUT i have a cut off time, and its been great! I also tried to focus my blog, let it be less about kittens & y u no memes, but more of the alter ego to this blog. plus I try to allow me weekends to be FOR ME not for the interwebs, so if you notice me disappearing fri-sun its because I'm pretending to be human....

I have been working more on my ART in the meantime which includes:

making comics...

making gallery art (more prestine than...comics)

making random stuff for hahas because as artist we like to make random stuff

ELEANORZINE (which sucks up a lot of time)

I'm trying to do these things RITE and not rush through them, I apologize if eleanorzine is taking longer than we had hoped but i want it to be ...nice, nothing slapped together, not sooooo many typos..i want it to be great and not rushed for time...so be patient my friends, she will arrive fashionably late, but still...fashionably

Other things that have been taking up my time have been:

taking a milinery class & applying for summer internships ala NYC....

me in nyc many moons ago...

whipping together a decent portfolio takes time especially when they want to keep it. I would love love love to pick up my kit and move to NYC forevers, but I need to be prepared for it....

I'm definitely be focusing my energy on my REAL LIFE recently( i often forget i HAVE one of those :/), having an internet presence is grand, but I want my actual life to be focused and striding....

+I have been spending less recently but i want to save that info on tomorrow's post (if it shows up tomorrow!)

My head in way in the clouds guys. My throat is killing me and so is my head. Thanks to Zoraida I did gargle so I'm feeling a little better, but my mind keeps wanting to go take a hot bath and sleep till tomorrow, so here's a quick update on my new years celebratory events....

Am I the only one who felt that 2k10 left more to be desired, I think for me I nothing REALLY happened...or maybe it did, I mean I.....

was in two major motion pictures by Ron Howard & Steven Sodeberg. I mean they are small but I always dreamed to be in movies and it seems like my start is just beginning...

had a lead role in a chicago play...

went to see some bands I love live...

went to mexico...

got my own place...

Okay, okay, so maybe 2k10 was better than I thought, I guess when you take time to look back and count your blessings, you seem less cynical, less ungrateful. and theres nothing that annoys me more than bratty people. Sure we all have our bad days, & even if your problems may seem small compared to others, they are still important. but i know that some of us have had some wonderful experiences this year, even if it was just falling in love with the 11th doctor....(haha)

SPEAKING OF WHICH (no not the doctor, tho who watched that tear jerkin episode for christmas?? and yes Jenny, is did look like JJ directed it LAWLS) I did get some nice stuff from my family & friends this year I didnt really ask for much but, I am always happy that people go out of there way for me...

I got that velvet dress Ive been crying for LOL (its pictured backwards I just realized!!!) A free ppl-esque floral dress and sweater, sequin skirt, two new shorts, and velvet leggings. PLUS I GOT some make up, bath body works haul, those russian nesting doll measuring cups (woot!),lots of candy because my mom wants to make me FAT, a reflector because my mom worrys, water botter & thermol, & THAT HELLO GEEKS PLANNER!!!

I didnt even say i wanted this stuff and some how my family found out (hope they dont read my blog, lol, jk i mean what will the find out really?)

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING EVERYONE, I've been really excited for this upcoming concert tho yeasayer for new years eve!!! ACK! Ive planned out my outfit mostly, cant wait!!!

I used to work for Clinique and during christmas the only song they would play was Mariah Carey's "all I want for christmas" and I officially despise that version of that song. Nothing against Ms. Carey or christmas songs...just when you hear a song 100xs a day since halloween.....

anyway, my home is prepped for the holidays! this is my first christmas at my own place. I am rather excited :D thanks for all those who sent cards and gifts ^^ I'm pretty excited about this weekend. Today its another hipster holiday bash with yanky swap (haha!) tomorrow, family time, and saturday we are trekking off to my bros house to visit my nephew vader (whose a boston terrier lol)

of course every girl has their wish list ^_^

hipster holiday party

i couldnt decide what I wanted to talk about today, lost boys, christmas, how much i hate snow, horses....well I decided just to start with my weekend. We threw a surprise party for one of my great friends, (thrown by his oh so cute gf) she combined, not one, not two, but THREE sets of friends, I was reminded by that jim gaffighan joke that goes..

"You ever mix two different groups of friends? That can be stressful. You always feel like you have to prep 'em, You're like....'these ppl over here, uh...they don't think I drink. And don't be thrown by my british accent.'"

However, contrary to popular belief, it went really well and we were all able to bond watching ninja warrior whilst waiting for the guest of honor to arrive and comparing it to Nickelodeon game shows like double dare or legends of the hidden temple...

the next day my friends and I watched The Lost Boys on VHS, if you saw my rant on tumblr I explained how the VHS player ate the tape and we had remember our old tricks of preventing that from happening again. I won't get too much into the lost boys other than that IT'S AWESOME, and super hilarious. You should definitely check it out...it is just so corny but so entertaining. Thats why my friend and I were inspired to take some wayfayer pics just for the occasion.

& yes...that is a new free people sweater...i know I just should give free people my direct deposit routing number and call it a night...ha!

zoo lights

Dave + I went to Zoo lights at Lincoln Park Zoo, in my hood over the weekend. I was going to have that party & if you follow my tweets you'd know I was freakin out over it. But instead, we decided to cancel all our plans and just be big kids for the holiday. I think this was truly the best idea. We snapped tons of pics, photoboothed (yay), walk around, then after we got too cold went to my favorite vegetarian restaurant in the city.

What I love about zoo lights is its free, so you don't feel obligated to stay! Just look around then run away! My french club used to volunteer there when I was in High School, so it did bring up old memories...(of knowing french, lol, grandmere, desoleeeee)

At the cafe I got some veggie chili (yum) and then some tofu tostadas.... sooo good. They do tofu right here, its not like "thanks for the erasers :/" (I think I'll do a hip city review of chicago soon like Veronica, tell u more of cool places in the city like this.)

It was overall a lovely night and I'm glad that I just decided to just have a quiet intimate night than just running around overwhelmed at a party and people messing up my house, ha!

Black Friday wasn't a complete bust, it wasn't a complete success either.

my mom was, of course, a little nervous about me going out but i live for this day. NOT for the sales, but for the sheer hysteria, whats more lovely than to watch american GO NUTS over stuff?

you can't make is an official black friday without a refuel at starbucks...

At first I was really bummed out, I mean we first went to target so my best friend's kid sister could get a new digi cam (then i saw the new polaroid instant, what!?) And luckily we were only there for like an hour, (not to noticiable half of that was in line) But later we went deep into surbubia into the mall I went to H&M (no SALE. or atleast nothing I really wanted) I didnt go to f21, my best friend wouldn't let me go in, because we both knew I would be full of regrets, they really only had jeggings on sale, AND YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I NEED JEGGINGS...so i didnt get any. I also hit up J.Crew (fail) the gap, realizing the last time i actually liked the gap I was in H.S and wore there dream perfume, sephora, and a lots of other places as well...not really leaving with much. My best success was with Nordstrom, were I was able to snag all my favorite bands soooo cheap, because my peers in the suburbs love uggs, leggings, and performance outdoor fleece pull overs, so everything i like is usually a dollar! HA HA HAAA...

After the mall on our way to Nordstrom you can see i tried on this wicked red lippy, loved it soooooo much at sephora but it was 30$, which is a little high for something i'm probably going to lose forever....I also did snag that awesome awesome fur hat from H&M, I'm certian its made from little faux, btw I'm not really into the east coast /west coast; fur /no fur, I know its evil so is meat so is doctor robotnik, i get it...

Then we also have my gets:

Even though I didn't walk away with bags and bags of stuff, (probably good for my pocketbook), I did feel good about my purchases, I didnt feel like (WHY DID I SPEND THAT MONEY) I feel that sometimes after hitting up sales versus buying what I wanted, but I really wanted a lace shirt, and the dolman sweater was even on my wish list. I'd always buy free people, the nubby was on my wish list and I love hats! SO I feel good! I also got some gifts (hince the sephora bag) I think i did great this year as for gifts ^^

did you all face the nightmare of the blackest night of the year? Or do you have similar sales in your country? Do you find either of it worth it or find yourself buying a bunch of stuff you don't need...

I got this little tip from Sasa, by seeing how things fit in my coordinates versus something that confuses my closet...I think by doing that on friday it prevented me from buying things that were "ooh cute!" but honestly a waste...

a lovely book that was read to me every year around christmas-time as a child, thanks mom

So every christmas I decide that I really don't want anything. I usually martyr up, say "I don't need anything" and get some silly knickknacks from the family, which I adore...don't get me wrong

well this year...ITS ALL CHANGED (not really) Ive really been getting into the christmas spirit, maybe its all the meds, maybe its jaynes card, maybe its the glistening lights. Regardless I've been feeling christmas this year indeedy. It took some time for me to convert of course, I needed it to be at least a month away, I am NOT a halloween christmas person, let me enjoy the spooky before we bring on the snowy.

Anyway, I decided to illustrate things this year that I absolutely love. I don't feel like I'm asking for much, in fact I'm not asking at all. I didnt tell my family I wanted these things, I'm an adult, I usually just save up and buy myself. And since this year theres like NOTHING I want for black friday (this year it seems like a scam, everything is like 2 dollars off X( ) After what I've been through these past days I'm like "it's a blessing I'm alive...IM BUYING STUFF..." I always tell myself no most of the time, I wait for things to be on sale, I buy groceries over stuff...but life is short why not enjoy it ^^ hee hee. I mean sure I love simple pleasures & I'm all for the real meaning of christmas& I kno tomorrow is the day of thanks, and we should be grateful everyday...yadda yadda..., but I digress on the the drawings right???

I'm sure (ok not THAT sure) but sure, you all noticed that I've been MIA, most of my tumblr activity was actually my queue, does make you look alive though doesn't it...

so if you are wondering where I've been, here's a clue...

yeah...i suppose I've been hitting whatever it is too hard, but after like 4 days in the hospital, I'm finally at bed rest at my parent home because they didnt want me to chill in my apartment they wanted me to be constantly surrounded by folks so here we are, right? Its been nice here, my mom set up the guest room like a spa, and I've been chillin, illin, and doing nothing really. Ive been doing some illustrating and sewing to pass time but mostly sleeeping...

ps for those who are like "why were you there?" I have heart and neurological issues since I was like a kid but more threatening as I became a teenager...I deal with it everyday but it has become very difficult since summer I want to say...just if you were curious and or concerned...

at first I felt like I had nothing to post about today. But then i went through all my SD cards and saw all these places I went, the shopping I did, the food I ate. All these little moments that I had that I wanted to share with you, but never found the time.... so I decide to create this theme post called "through my eyes" (I been hitting the Peter Gabriel pretty hard recently)

I did some explorations, some of these pictures are a few days old, some are months old, I just wanted to share these musings and nuances of my daily life with you, things that make me laugh, cry, or even just sigh (heh) let me know what you think of this, I have so many pictures I want to share I could do this for whenever I have blog downtime (haha!) Its kinda like what i did last time with the less words more pictures...but more organized ^^

hey guys, I'm still sticking around. I'm currently eating healthy choice ice cream and tofu udon...I think I'm on to something here...

ANYWAY, I decided to take a mini break from portfolio work to blog, I could not tame my excitement for the letter I just got in the mail from the loverly Zoraida!!!

This seriously made my day, I was just walkin come, singing Rilo Kiley and then WHAM package for meeeee! So cute and sweet, I'm so happy we decided to be pen pals XD if you don't know her, you should, because she's like...the bees knees, and I just don't call everyone the bees knees...

and the gifts! I bet she did not know but I LOVES HARAJUKU LOVERS, its a guilty pleasure of mine, i feel maybe its not as credible as "real" japanese fashion, but I'm a 90s child and will always love Gwen Stefani, she's beautiful and has great ideas! AND I LOVES BITS A BAUBLES SO YAY...Plus I got a neato photo! *puts on fridge* yays!

Not to be OUTDONE I also received a letter from Sara Mari, on monday, for running up in her kitty naming contest ^-^ I love all the stickers, and I ALREADY started using the hello kitty pad for writing directions and grocery lists. I'm a list maker! SO if you send me paper, I will use it!

Last week I actually tried to get dressed, this week has been too crazy focused to dress nice even though I am wearing my MIIA shirt and carried a Milkfed bag today, i'm overall just too busy to snap coords and such. Last week I was too busy to blog but dressed fun for me :D No fancy photos this time though, quick snaps :D

hey guys, I know I don't do a good job of updating. These past weeks have been...HKJHKFHdkjg sdg a skjgkgkdsbf...half the time, but there has definitely been some highlights!

like this outfit i wore, it was so 90s! I love the 90s look, grunge an all! (you can definitely see my two tone hair in this one too, which i cannot believe i waiting till now to do something this awesome with my hair)

On a personal note, recently I have just been up & down mood wise, perhaps its mostly PMS, and I heard carbs make you depressed, I'm saying this to add that I have recently converted to the world of vegetarian-ism (most of the time, i still eat fish...and if I'm going south...well theres no hope there..haha) Its not for MORAL reasons, perhaps I should care more about how we get our mea, but damn I really have so many other things to consume my life than allow myself to worry about the state of chicken farms (dont get me wrong, it is terrible, but i try not to open too many pandora boxes in my life, i'm a worrier...) I do it for mostly hippie and health reasons. But JEEZ its HARD... well when you stop eating meat you realize how much meat you ate....so can you help a sister out and give me some advice?

Anyway, I really need to get this portfolio together I'm getting some new prospects on my life and I need to get my life together so you may only see me on twitter and tumblr the next few days, I'm always lurking on your blogs. Its not that I don't love you all, I just really need to do some thing, for me...

(3 more semesters to go and i'm done forever...TT-TT thank God....i should have friggin PhD as long as ive been doin this..lol)

Lights Out darling, winds were do hard knocked out my whole blocks power. No worries, it was not too long, but long enough to allow my milk to go bad. I was also able to look at this lovely halloween post card from Jenny under the candle light

Wasn't to worried about the black out though, I had plenty plans to keep myself occupied. Like dinner and a movie, since it was so chilly Panda and I decided to hit up one of our favorite joints! I love the mexican food there, after going to mexico its too hard to go back to garbage in the states...but this place is superb! And their mexican hot chocolate is to DIE FOR, so warm and yummy, tastes like little hugs on your tongue. I'm not that much of a fan of horchata, but I love chocolate mexicana, its just TOO yummy, I dont even worry about the kcals!

Do you ever just get so many pictures that you want to blog and they just get piled up? I just wanted to show you some highlights of this weekend. I went home to visit the studio & my mom and my brothers. It was great, the food was awesome, and despite a few headbutts I am overall happy with my visit. I was also able to get some things out of storage...and do some killer thrifting but I'll show my steals later :D

I mean old school Ivy League, east coast sensibilities, retro prep!

I love how WC is so preppy, i think this is why some people may not always love it because it does dance between gal and fruits style, but hey hey I think what is not to love about prep?!

Even classic eighties movies like Pretty in Pink and 16 candles could not deny the ultra sexiness that is a preppy boy (i mean yes we all love ducky, but at the time Andrew McCarthy and James Spader were FIONE, I believe this is the very reason why I have the taste in men I do today, they do say watch you saw as children shapes what you like in the opposite sex today, although its gotta be old skool prep tho! thats a must! If you're wearing A&F, no thanks :P) and didn't we all dream of being kelly kapowski (or in my case lisa turtle)? In an ironic way, sure....

+++++I love the dance between prep and grunge as well. The grungy girl taking preppy elements and rockin the snot out of it! Like the art school freak dating the secretly artsy guy on the soccer team, rockin his lettermen....Siiiigh I just truly love it all. (imaginative aren't I?)

It's been exactly a week since I updated this thing, and I apologize I also apologize for sucking at responding to comments and blog posts, tumblr and twitter is easy cause it just *bam bam wham* but blogging takes time out of your day which recently I've been choosing sleep...or at least telling myself I'm choosing sleep, tumble till 3am and then wake up at 6..LOVE MY LIFE RIGHT NOW...

On a lighter note I did start illustrating more, so keep your eyes peeled, I needed to do something that was not computer related...i love illustrating, I'll show you later tho ;D I do have two great ideas about short stories, I'm overly excited and plan on maybe publishing them myself and selling them, but I denno, when do I have the time for that? Between my new position and pretending to be an actor..I JUST HAVE NO TIME, plus Ive been trying to mend bridges and build new ones amongst friends...which also takes time...but I'm happy overall and I guess thats what's most important..right?

Anyway on to my CORDZ:

I was channeling debbie harry recently, she's a beaut, what can I say! I mimick her make the best I could, and this look is brought to by the wallets of my mother. I've IN LOVE with my new horse necklace, its so unexpected right?

Overall, the concert was LAME, it was just music videos basically, with the "real band" singing. I was overly disappointed, I was hoping for holograms, I could have watch music videos at home on youtube in my PJs...but thats just me...

Most of my money goes to food, bills, comic books, and urban outfitters, ya know-the necessities, but I rarely just get to buy stuff cause I just want to. It was fun I felt 12 again buying back to school clothes. At first I felt a bit guilty, I'm not one to indulge, but after a while I was like "WELL IF YOU INSIST..."

Which brings me to the point of this post...MY NEW SHOES, I try to keep my blog fairly educated, sometimes polticial, always internal, but sometimes I just want to be a girl and take about materialistic crap CUZ IM AMERICAN

The first two she bought the last one I actually got a while back but I never showed you. She also got me those nordic tights, and brown victorian-esque leggings, I bought the batty socks which I'm also very much into right now. I want to rock them with everything.

Regardless she did take me shopping because I was sick for a while and to bribe me to help her design some stuff for her, which I'd gladly do for shoes (sucker is born every minuet...)

She also got me some new clothes and make and etc, which I'll post later, today felt like a day to celebrate mes pieds!

I also want to leave you with a mixtape. I've been inspired Zoraida she makes some awesome mixes as well...is it *as* awesome as this one...well..let you be the judge...

...hey guys, oh how I missed you all! I was finally able to get a breather from making art today and catch up with an old friend @ a cafe over hummus & pumpkin spice lattes....

We had a hilarious time discussing about being the "weird girl" in high school, I hold those memories fondly. i know at the time it was stressful being so strange or "alt" without even trying. I remember kids approaching me asking "so you're into like alternative music like 'michelle branch' right" and I look at them with like "WTH?!" I was more into cibbo matto, radiohead and franz ferdinand, michelle branch was alternative as vanilla ice cream...

I remember wearing zebra chucks with rainbow laces, my one of my best friends looked like jason schwartzman, and together we looked like a ghetto rendition of a wes anderson film. HA, I remember on senior ditch day, we actually "ditched" school versus many people who just didn't show up, and went to go see an indie flick....we were such dorks. i remember him calling me a martyr because he, at least, just wore ironic t shirts why I dressed anything from hyper punk to japanese fruits style...but it was some of the best times of my life..

tonight my friend and I giggle about how we used to "escape" to the city, she would go off to see punk bands why I was again checking out foreign films, going to comic book stores (nothing has changed)

we also talked about our first boyfriends and first friends. I remember both vividly, but I am always proud of my first boyfriend who occured in 2nd grade, he looked like joey ramone (white tshirts and black jeans! IN 2ND GRADE LAWLS), I thought he was the bee knees! (His older brother was more punk) He gave me all of his halloween candy that year, we held hands, but sadly he moved away...siigh, I would try to facebook him, BUT I DONT REMEMBER HIS NAME..haha oh well!

Regardless, it was fun to reminisce and see how far we come, to see what has changed, who got married, knocked up, or came out....in the end, nothing was all too surprising...

But overall, it was a great time chatting it up with her, I hope we can do it again soon...

I'm really a designer...honest

Even though I might talk about music, fashion, and movies I'm in MORE than me being an ACTUAL graphic designer, doesn't mean I'm not a graphic designer...

Me and graphic design love and hate each other. We're like cousins, forced to be together, don't know each other that well, but would sarcrifice for one another in a heart beat...I've been doing this for half my life, no seriously, I have. My oldest brother put me in front of a computer when I was 11 and I haven't stopped. I mean at the time I started getting comissions for like bake sale flyers, but hey work is work right :D...

So I thought I'd show ya'll some of my recent works I'm pretty proud of. I'm currently a supervisor in a graphic design program at a local university. That's as vague as I'll get because I don't want all ya'll in my kool-aid...anyway, let's take a looky loo shall weeeee?

These first ones are some promotional material, some days my work gets real corny (yes the bad typefaces are chosen ON PURPOSE) because I know some people won't even look twice at these posters, they'll too busy finding out if stacy likes them or whatever 18 year olds are fascinated in, do they still like Hannah Montana?

I recently got some freelance work to make this band poster for Katie & Pat whose touring with Stealth like a Canoe. I was super excited because I rarely get to just have the freedom to design for fun outside of my silly blog, haha! I can't wait for these to be posted in Reckless Records, Schubas, Martyrs..heehee! I hope to do more band posters and stuff...

They choose the first one (who doesn't love futura :D ) but I'm really in love with the last two. :)

Anyway, I need to go to sleep on time, hopefully, and eat, I still haven't eaten...I leave you with two videos that always make me LOL...

Like most of America, I went to see "A Social Network" I urge, plead, and beg you to see this movie, because it's brilliantly written, the cinematography is awesome, and if this story doesn't remind you of shakespeare, it's time to bone up on your shakespeare. Don't be fooled that its some egotistical biopic film...it's just a story about a boy, who loses everything in order to get everything.

This is what I wore:

Garbage..lol no Flub a Dub Chubs, you think going down 6 sizes would make me go 'nah', but this food is awesome, if you're near the north side, taste and see...(ps, do you notice my two tone hair? I did it like forever ago but never posted a pic yet...)

The next day:

One of my bestest guy friend's whom I love dearly had a party, I made these...piggies in a blanket, and yes, they're kosher ;) I also made pumpkin cookies, which make AWESOME sunday breakfast, just sayin'

Well that's it. I'll update you on more later but now I'm debating whether or not to face the cold and go to reckless records...but it's so cold! XD

Have you noticed that you go through certain changes at certain ages?

When you turn 13 you think your life will be awesome (which 12-14 for me was just a totally BUST it was not as cool as pepper ann AT ALL!) You think when you turn 16 you’ll finally look as hot as everyone on Dawson’s Creek but it turns out you are still dorky looking. 18 rolls around and you’re “an adult” but for most of us we are still living under out parents wing at that age but going off to school. 21 rolls around and you can drink…legally, in the US that is, and not have guilt or shame quickly chase you after a sip or two. But then that eventually dies down in hype. Finally, after 21…the “big birthday’s” don’t really show up again until you’re the big 30 then you’re 1/3 of being dead.

Well now I am 23…

(I’m sure maybe some of you thought I was older…maybe because my brother is 26 and we are like BFF so I get along with more people in their late 20’s early 30’s because we have the same circle of friends growing up. People actually still think we are twins but that’s okay, we find it a great conversation starter…but I digress…)

...I feel like the world is starting to finally come alive. I no longer feel like I am ashamed of my looks or iniquities, nor am I as shy as I used to be. I don’t feel weird for not following the crowd for not being like everyone else or for being WEIRD, yes WEIRD, and I have never been prouder!

I feel like I am finally starting to be “a woman” (that always sounds lame to say out loud) and that I am coming into my own. I got back into dancing which is great and I have been hitting up the auditions like a fiend with NO SHAME OR FEAR of “what if they don’t like me”
I feel like I wasted so much of my life being a people pleaser. Wondering if “they” will like me, trying not to stand out too much, or just be myself. But now, I’m like who cares!

This year I have had so many firsts, my friend real apartment! My first real role in a feature film! My real first trip out the country! I just feel like life is starting to shape up for me.

Who knows what’s to come for m this year. I am backpacking through Europe in the summer, and also have some other great things lined up such as I JUST GOT A ROLE IN AN OFF BROADWAY PLAY, and I also just got promoted to supervisor at the graphic design company I work for!

I feel like I am finally starting to be me, and whether she’s gal, a hipster, Black, French, tall, hippy, crushes on boys with big noses, sensitive and a dreamer, whatever she is, I am glad to finally be okay to just be her....♥

4. I got new glasses, I love them because now I don't have to wear contacts to put on fake glasses, these have my prescription. But I also got two pairs because I know this trend will soon die out..:D

5. My audition today. It went pretty fast, maybe because I got there at the end of the call, it was super fun, let's cross our fingers shall we...

That was my sunday, I love lazy ones with lounging around, hot baths, and brisk autumn weather. I also ended it with homemade nachos & a new movie I bought called Adam, it's really good, I liked it better than 500 days of summer. Check it out if you like.

Wes Anderson, Fashion Genius?

If you did not notice, I do have a slight caring for the fashion world. I mean I was bred & born in it! My father a struggling actor my mom and ingenue fashion designer, together they made something pretty awesome:

No I'm really kidding, I'm not that narcissistic (...) but I do think that this crazy world I live in growing up in a mad house of an artist studio did help me understand a few things about art, fashion, and theatre/film.

One thing I really enjoy is incorporating all three...and one person who I admire that does this so well is Wes Anderson...who is just the kind of man we need these days.

I was studying some of his films and realized how cool the costumes are, all the patches of colors in the sea of monotone, it's truly something to marvel at. I decided to take 3 out of the many films he's made and create looks that capture some of the eye candy of the film

What is not to love about this movie, like all Wes Anderson films, he always finds that simplistic way to make you feel uncomfortable, sad, and happy all at the same time. One great character of this is Margot, you have to admit outside of a lovely name, she has some banging style. Feel free to replace the real fur for a faux...and cigarettes may not be your thang, so I did offer the option of some bubble gum sticks, keep in mind, they may not taste as good as they did when you were four....

One of the first Wes Anderson films I've seen shown by one of best friends who was rather emotionally attached to the film. Its hard not to be, it does have that quiet awkwardness that we all experience in high school..but Max did have a banging style NO LIE...

haha no really I know Chicago comes with its flaws, but they've had some good ones in the past like "brother's bloom" "babel" "good bad weird" and "kamikaze girls" which if you've haven't seen any of these films, PLEASE GO-NOW-WATCH! They are very well made and invoke some great emotional responses...

Might I add that is totally one of my most favoriest songs (yes I know my grammar was horrible in that previous sentence)

I recently went to a horror movie fest with the boys. It was a lot more fun that I anticipated. Don’t get me wrong, I love old films but I understand my generation’s attention span lasts for like 2 seconds…regardless it was great. The line up was;

The Hunchback of Norte Dame

The Manster

the beautiful theatre...

We missed The Phantom Planet but caught all of the KK v G which was hilarious and amazing! After seeing it my brother and I had a massive craving for sushi and went to an all you can eat buffet of it. I never thought I could eat so much raw fish DX. The quote of the night on that one was “ we really screwed the pooch on that one” And yes, yes we did…I thought I was going to die or at least sushi was going to start spewing from my ears….

We got back just in time for Darkman, which is a Sam Raimi classic! I had no idea that Liam Neeson was in it which really made me understand some of his recent choices in films. It was HILARIOUS and soooo Raimi, plus when Bruce Campbell showed up I almost screamed out loud…okay not almost, I just did. Plus Panda and I high fived when we spotted this little number…

The Infamous Evil Dead car used in ALL of Raimi’s films, i.e. uncle ben’s car in spiderman, the crazy old lady’s car in drag me to hell. If you didn’t notice this, see if you can spot it now.
Overall this was a great experience, I spent it with my two favorite guys in the world and it took place at the portage theatre, this beautiful hidden gem of the city. It is starting to fall apart in some ways and was a little moldy, it made me a little sad but it was still such a beautiful old building, and HUGE! I am definitely going to the Halloween havoc next month I cain’t wait!

Gee Ive been gone for a while eh? Well lets blame it on the new year…

LETS CATCH UP

ANYWHO..last weekend I decided to hit up fashion night out in Chicago, and it simply reminded me of how much I enjoy fashion…in New York…As much as I certainly do love Chicago, and I do love you, it really is not the place for high fashion. I met up with my mom and we looked around & hit up some fashion shows. It simply turned out to be a day for stores to stay open late, booze you up, and make you buy stuff. But most of it was out of season anyway and I have my eyes set on some other prizes. Not all of it was a bust, it was great hanging out with my mom and we did discover some new designers…and some killer chanel rouge lipstick, which i didn’t even bother to see how much it was…waiting to see if I can find a similar shade via wet &wild..haha

That Saturday we ran over to Renegade Chicago, which was also…a bust. It sad how the economy has majorly effected the art community.

The fair through this lovely bakery I went to, which has such yummy teas and macaroons.

Everything was all onsies with bicycles on it, deer necklaces, and own earrings. Nothing avant garde or daring, they all seemed about making $$ that making a statement. They know what sells and what does not I suppose I understand but I don’t necessarily agree with it. ALTHO we did stumple upon this GEM:

We meet up with one of the owners and the designer of Anastasia Chatzka. She is a ingenue and a genius with her designs. I wish I had a reason to wear something of hers. Its very Betsey Johnson with a little more of a retro flair. My mother and I were surprised that they were even stationed in Chicago, this seemed much more NY or London, and they agreed, haha! If you are curious you should definitely look at the site, and if you are in the area come to the flagship store :D

What a Weekend

I kno I kno Ive been gone sooo long! Well it was my birthday and this year I decided to PARTY HARD...

It all started THURSDAY:

I went to this lil rockabilly club with some people I know, and had a pretty wild time. Not wild as in drunken, more as in wild as in new...

The lead guitarist from the rockabilly band that was playing, serenaded me, came down from the stage and played a guitar solo to me, pointed me out in the crowd and complimented me, and then at the end of the night asked me out. It was pretty INSANE, he was cute in a Zachary Quinto kind of way but sadly I'm spoken for I felt bad when I turned him down because suddenly he had to go to the bathroom...I felt bad but hey...a gals gotta do what a gal gotta do..;)

FRIDAY was pretty tame in comparison. I just headed up to 3 floyds as usual and had a great time with Panda and the guys who work there because we are becoming regulars there, it's super funny.

SATURDAY I had planned to go to Chicago Jazz Fest, but plans changed and I decided to go air soft-ing with my old high school friends (whom I still love to bits), they all took me out to dinner afterwords and PAID FOR ME, I was so touched. Then the Lovely VW played...and was it fantastic, they are funny, adorable, charming, and have a great sound! (because don't you hate it when a band you like sounds like death live...unless you're into like death metal..hah) Afterwords, Panda and I hit up a diner by my house, I felt so seinfield...

MONDAY my actual day of birth, I worked on stuff for school, got my free gift from sephora and came home to surprise my mama, we had chinese and rented a movie...

A while back I did win Miruku Giveaway! I haven't gotten a chance to play with any of it, but I am looking forward to wearing the scarf and using the towel (tonight actually :D)

Then referring back to the dream coords, I got this MIIA shirt from Tori. She also added the hoodie (perfect for dance class :D and love the retro inspired drawings!) And a WC catalog (not shown) Also the MIIA pouch pictured with Miruku's gift is actually from Tori as well. I love those little pouches. Plus I just bought some WC from her and I'm very excited about receiving it!!

I also finally got my dream hat from Sara! It fit over my lazy -hair -still- dont- feel- well- hair today :D Plus she sent it in a cracker box which I thought was so cute a kitsch!

Anyway, I just received a call to be on set in the morning, but it conflicts with class so well see.

Regardless I'm really tired and hot (I dont have a/c) so good night!

come on admit it, when you saw this, you were pretty excited too...

I am so so so happy that gal fashion is getting more and more into 60s and retro fashion. As soon as I saw this in the Oct popsister, I flipped my wig!!

Then I quickly researched the brands used in this brand story

Rojita & Dazzlin

Lets start with Dazzlin since its the firts product used in the first page of the story...I love that jacket Tsubasa is wearing...

Its so loverly, even though it is just a tweed jacket, the use of colors is simply FAB...the whole dazzlin lookbook is adorable. I took some of my favorite coordinates. Everything is all knee highs, sweet hats, and adorable details like bowties, and suspenders.

Aren't the pictures just as sweet as macaroons? I really need a newsboy and some grey knee highs. Plus suspenders!! Great thing about labor day is all the thrift stores in Illinois do half price days!! EVERYTHING HALF PRICE...i'm definitely going to find some vintage good in recreating these looks!

Also isn't that coat TO DIE FOR? (no not really) and those shorts are very sweet as well, but with my big booty i dont think sweater shorts are a smart choice...but they are still sweet! Plus, does anyone know this models name? Ive seen her a lot used in Mini and JILLE, and her make is PERFECT, be in the looks of me recreating it :D..

NEXT IS ROJITA...

I really loved both brands, If I could I'd buy it all (but both brands are CRAZY expensive) Rojita was mainly used on the next page of the brand story...

I feel in IMMEDIATE love for the dress in the lower left. It is perfect in every way, I might get this as my birthday gift :D it will look great in winter and fall, I have OTK boots and the visilia hat will be adorable with it as well!

I also spotted this mod dress too. I wish I could try things on first too, they are so expensive I'd hate to buy it and then it doesnt fit DX..so adorable though!

Perhaps I will try mbok, see if i can find them used and CHEAPER...everything here is like 100 bucks at least!!

Anyway, I'm so glad I discovering more about these Brands, it makes shopping easier, when you have brands you love, like Sara Mari with tutuHA. Iwant to discover more. I really like it when brands have a certain look and does not try to apply to everyone. It also makes life easier on the pocket when you have a definite style then trying to buy every look. I'm not saying don't experiment, but you get more coords when you have one look than trying to be rock, mode, sweet, boho, pop, agejo...@_@

anyway, on the final note because I'm really not feeling too well, and I need to sleep more, I got food poisoning, but I'm not surprised. My family and I went to a buffet in a romantic ideal that it would be fun because we havent been in several years. But now we know why we dont go to these gross depots of depressing americana obesity....

I just got these two pairs! And where both more than 50% off therefore they were both less than 20 dollars each XD!!

The second pair really remind me of the Glify shoes Mitsu hated, but I LOVE THEM! I don't mind that she doesnt like them, everyone has their own style :D (the Gilfy ones are a little snazzier, but i'm sure they wont have my size 40 shoe size..>:( )

On another current obsession, I love reading Gemma Corrells Daily Diaries, they are so cute and insightful. I found out about this artist through Flickr, and these comics have seriously gotten me through so long train rides and lectures....

PLUS through all of this I'm slowly moving to the north side. Dream Coordinates

These past couple of days I was highly inspired by Sasa’s last coordinate post incorporating drawings instead of photography. In fact some of my favorite street style comes from what I wore today flickr drawings (featured in the March eleanorzine) and Nancy Zhang from lookbook.nu

I decided to hope on that bandwagon since I am very much an artist (it is what I am going to school for hahah) and draw some cute little me’s wearing cute little things :D

(I would like to say for the sake of my reputation that I am not drawing to my best ability I’m just drawing cute things for fun heehee)

SO HERE WE GO:

First set, Dream Coordinates. Not only do I draw what I do wear but I draw what I dream to wear. (I also draw an inventory list to see what I still need and what I have…as Sasa regarded as not buying something to confuse my wardrobe but to keep in track of key items I need to keep with trends and personal taste, I actually keep an inventory in my purse when I go out to add or subtract key items.)

But instead of boring you with inventory sheets, I’ll show you some dream coordinates….

I recently purchased an MIIA shirt and pouch from Tori (in transit) which I am totally stoked about. I never owned any official Japanese “brand” items so this will be my first :D So immediately I came up with two coordinates to represent the same shirt to help convince myself that I was doing the right thing and to think of the unlimited amount of wear I would get out of it.

First look, rokku gal.

Pants: Distressed (need to find, hear’d Macy’s and JcPenny will have some from $25-100 in their fall collections)
Bag: Mini Chanel (I do have a mini Chanel hand bag that I love)
Shoes: My new studded heels
Accessories: Studded Bracelets, braid headband, sleeker mode hair, candy apple :D

I guess I should also state that I’m thinking fall (always) it’s my favorite season and I always buy for fall because I feel like you get the most wear of out fall clothing. Plus my theory is (which is just a theory) your favorite season is usually the one you were born in. Me and my mom both love fall, my birthday is in Septemeber and hers in in August. She enjoys a more Indian Summer why I like a more crisp fall. Panda was born in June so he loves the dead humid heat, and my brother is a feburary baby so he loves mounds of snow. September is my favorite month, not only because of birthday but because its back to school (yep I’m a nerd) back to rountine (and a dork) the holiday season is approaching, and all the fall fashion is out with giant September issues. But I digress. Here’s my next MIIA look, thinking fall as well:

What do you think? Are you not ready for fall. I’m not saying that I don’t enjoy summer, I just love layering and biking around town without dying of heat stroke…XD

Dress: One-spo (saw this in vivi and immediately feel in LOVE, but how can I buy it??!!) I do adore anything lena fujii puts on but I don’t really consider Vivi to be gal, but after I saw the August issue of Scawaii it gave me second thoughts on vintage inspired gal looks, but I’ll discuss more later.

This coordinate is my take on a nautical/mori/gal look. I actually wore this one on Saturday but I will talk about my weekend in the next post. I don’t want to overload this one!

So what do you guys think? Do you like the drawing coordinates or do you prefer pictures, or do you like both? I think Drawing helps me understand what a coordinate might be missing and helps me accessorize it better. It also helps me stay focus on what I need to get versus buying for the sake of spending money. I’m actually really excited about the baseball tee, from MIIA its bon on my list forever. I have one from UO but it’s getting a little old…I’ll show it to ya, later.

So Last weekend, was a crazy weekend for most I’m sure. Between BBQs and family dues I’m sure most of us were up to our eyeballs in things to do and people to see.

Saturday: Panda’s familia had a fiesta, an overdue graduation party and town hall fireworks..etc
Sunday: Tailgate thrown by the community church, family, fireworks, soccer, BBQ, line dancing..lols
Monday: Sibling run to Mistuwa.

Between running here and there I did not get much pics, but I was able to try some new coordinates. As like everyone else, I am smitten by the mode look! I snagged this dynamite shoulder shirt from Urban Outfitters, and the shorts are my fave BCBG (that are sadly now 4 sizes TOO BIG, can you get shorts tailored????) These shoes are okay IMO, I feel like my new ones will really take this look over the edge.

Doesn’t it look like I’m wearing falsies!! I’m just wearing lash blast fusion, which I love more than any other mascara I have tried. Panda actually bought it for me, which I left in his car along with my cell phone, he brought it back to me on Monday and drew me this little love note.,,which i'll scan and show you later..

(Sunday was family picnic, I didn’t take no pics, and it was a basic coordinate with a rockabilly flair.)

Monday: as stated before I made my way to Mistuwa, I picked up JILLE and MORE, and more had this awesome Gelato Pique eco bag that Is finally MY SIZE it fits 2 magazines, one graphic novel, my make, DS, camera, and water bottle, NO JOKE. And its ADORABLE...It also came with shampoo which I’ll just take with me on the plane…(pics soon)

Makey Makey, this is towards the end of the day so, not much, and my hair is complete frizz, guh humid Chicago DX.

Luckily; on Thursday I was able to snag some organic tinted moisterizure + SPF (along with some vegan meals- yumyum) at the Health Food store. It’s fairly reasonably price (about $10) No added extras and fragrance free. Buildable too! My skin loves it and I don’t feel like my face is melting off (HA) I’m sure it will be perfecto for MEXICO..which is in..16 DAYS!! (thank God, mee needs una vacation!) Especially now, i found out yesterday that *I GOT MY APARTMENT* It's in perfect and vintage-y...i prefer classic architecture than an efficient new box..:/

I'll give some info on it without spilling all the beans (i dun wan no stalkin..:'(..heh)

It's a few blocks from the lakefront :D
It has a walk in closet, which is like the size of a small bedroom
It was built in like the 1920s so it has some cool wooden floors and decor...

This is my "first place" so I am very excited, I always dreamed of being all sex in the city with my own place (less sex more city), no crazy roommates (just maybe some crazy neighbors, heard the building is full of actors and up and coming film students) and I'm free from campus housing since this year I'll be a "super senior" and I could not stand to live with another 18 year old...

Well, I FOUND A PLACE, but let’s keep our fingers crossed because there’s an application process…and..yah kno..(o_o)…

So a did some shoppin’ a while back and I never showed you alls that I got! I’ll do the clothing a little later. Today is all about the SHOEZ.

I bought these dominatrix style shoes a while back. I really liked them at the time, but I needed some more convincing. After 2 weeks of just (never going to wear these) and being over 6 feet tall, (towering over poor panda :D ) I decided ‘no’ on the shoes…AND INSTEAD….

If you follow my tweets you would of saw me say my closet is going from tomboy to fab gal. My first pair of shoes (when I stopped being a dork and wearing sketchers) was a pair of zebra chucks. I LOVED THEM they had rainbow laces and wore them through high school. In college I graduated towards wearing combat boots and rocker dog slip-ons. My mom is so happy I’m wearing heels! And with styles these days it’s so hard not too! Not saying I won’t throw on a pair of chucks or too, but I think I’m finally growing up (NOT!)

I am still not done with my collection, I’m still lusting after some lace ups, colored heels, sabots, cute trainers, docs, & mini boots. And some really cute comfy flats for sooching around! These WC boots are pretty fierce I'm excited to see the rest of the fall collection XD

I really love Shibuhara and I think if it weren’t for Jenny I would still be figuring out what I want to do. I simply cannot be a full time 109ner Jelly gal, and Ame-kanji would make me look like I lost my mind and started channeling my inner 6 year old. Shibuhara lets me explore my inner 6 year old without looking nuts and my cheeky side without feeling overexposed. Plus it helps me>make up my mind, I can go from mode to mori in minuets! I really want to thank Mistu, Jenny , Sara, Hana, Miruku even Tori for making want to say “what the hell, BE A GAL!” Heehee~

Oh boy, how was everyone's weekend, mine was hectic but GOOD! It was Panda's birthday (friday) so we basically celebrated Friday-Sunday. Haha~

My brother BBQ-ed portabello burgers and corn. I love vegetarian meals yum yum! My mom went out to buy a cake but unfortunately Panda got a call from a family friend who needed a ride 30 miles away and had to leave early. We were going to go out later that night but we ended up not having enough time. When Panda got back, my family was sleeping, so Panda and I just watched cheers and 3rd rock from the sun until the wee hours of the morning. Random I know...

Last day of the Panda parade...(finally was able to do the cake and tricked Panda by telling him I was changing in the kitchen lols!)

I did a little more house work before my mom and I went shopping (I know I MUST SAVE ITS SO HARD WITH SUMMER SALES GUH!!) I picked up a layaway I had along with this cute crochet vest and perfect summer dress for throwing on for church and other functions. (pics later) I also finally got some denim leggings XD

I made pizza, three kinds, chicken BBQ, veggie lovers (with squash), and typical surpreme. Panda loves my homemade pizzas!

We went to go see Toy Story 3, which we were late for and ended up seeing it not only in 3d but on IMAX because it was the only venue left, of well!

IT WAS AWESOME & it has (this may or may not be a spoiler) TOTORO IN IT ZOMG! Surprisingly I did NOT cry, but I came close...pixar always makes me cry, but nothing will ever make me cried as hard as wall-e, I cried throughout the movie, and on my way home NO JOKE, and I'm NO crybaby, it just strucks the emotional chord on you and all your feelings come bursting out for no explained reason! To this day I cant watch that movie again 'cause I don't want to start bawling again! Isn't it SAD how pixar's movies have a better emotional pull on audiences than most movies do today cartoon or not? Whats up with the movie industry is cartoons are having better scripts and story telling?...tisk...

New things, new things!!! Even though I should totally be asleep, I must blog before I go to beddy bye! I feel like it has been too long, but i forbade myself to blog until i finished eleanorzine, which I did so GO CHECK IT OUT!!!

My head hurts from formatting, this was by far my hardest issue, I never recieved so much feedback x_x i am literally KO'd which is why I am looking forward to my trip to mexicooooo!!!

Panda's dad invited me to tag along and I was like "OK!!!" its an all inclusive trip at a luxury resort in cancun, I've never really been out of the country either, so I am very excited to see Panda's home country and do a bit of shopping XD, the reason why i said "really" been out is because when i was 9, I went to Tijuana, and came home within the 1hr...so that doesnt count :/..

tut tut looks like rain....

And I love it! I really enjoy rainy days, I rested most of today because I was not feeling well so I didnt go into work. I didnt even wake up until mid afternoon! I guess my body had just shut down. My tummy still hurts though x_x

Last week Panda and I went to go see She & Him, actress Zooey Deschanel's band. It was an outdoor concert in millennium park. So of course we had a picnic! It was a really great concert and zooey is so cute.

If so, I'm giving you a compliment, not many people can be so ugly yet so handsome at the same time. Here's the real matt smith below, doppelgang much?

On a less fangirl or more of a fangirl note... IM LOVING THE MODE LOOK! It's very street style meets gal IMO, something I can actually pull off without looking like a clown. I want to try some mode coordinates this week, I'll be sure to take snaps. I know you all miss my snaps I've been to busy to do them, but I will for sure this week! I'm going to stop at f21 tomorrow after work to try to find a bandage skirt. Ive seen them all the time but been to scared to try them. But now that I have lost weight, I'd say...why not. At first I was just going to upload a bunch a pics of everything I did so far this summer, but, it would have been tooooo much!So let's start where I left off, shall we?

Panda, the Gang, and I decided the beach (Indiana Dunes) would be a good place to go this summer...too bad we went on the crappiest day!

Zombie pancakes anyone? Panda made these before we left.

(Thats Panda in those waves btw, and "too bad" you can't see my 10 pack abs..lol)

It was really cold, rainy, and 60 mph winds off the shore. I guess I'll try again this weekend. I really wanted to go this past Saturday but then it went all rainy again. What's up with this bipolar weather we've been having?! Oh, well to be honest, I don't really like it very hot anyway, makes me fussy...hee..

In the end, we ended up retreating to Three Floyds, a local brewery that pretty flippin sweet! They show vintage movies and retro episodes of Doctor Who, NO JOKE.

This picture shows that I need more black friends..haha! The food there is amazing, just not amazing if you leave it out in the sun for 12 hrs and then eat it two weeks later....Yeah I did that a few days ago, and been regretting it since...DX

Like the new look, thanks...Its not so barf in your mouth cute anymore. I'm always developing and growing, I think this suits me more...

Regardless, I'm thinking of going all Japanese blogger on you and having short posts via kana oya or lena fuji, ya know, because I dont have time, and I take all these pictures!! Would you mind if my blog post became shorter--yet more frequent?

AND YES I've been working hard on the zine, STILL, its really being angry and my InDesign keeps crashes and glitching, so hopefully it will be out by the weekend, next weekend at the latest. Working full time makes it difficult, but I did work pretty hard on this and I want it to be good, perfect even...for you. :)

So it hasn't all been the grind, I took last week off to be in the latest Ron Howard movie. I haven't heard back from the Glee thing. Which is good, but I was able to do my first real movie...pretty awesome. The part was small but I'm greatful, got to meet Winona Ryder :D and if my part doesnt get cut, I'll let you guys know when to go see it haha...

Looky Loo

Well this is exciting really it is! I always wanted to be on lookbook.nu, never really had the balls to do it. Now I'm officially signed on and this is my first look! What do you think. Hype if you like..;) This truly is a great start to my weekend ^-^

So, as you can probably see, my style is ever evolving, always changing. I cannot seem to keep a genre. I think it's because I fear lables, i hate commitment. It really is a mystery to me on how I was even able be with Panda this long because to be honest...I'm a runner...haha. This is why I have no girl friends, I just hate to put in the work..:P...

But yeah, I don't really know what my style is. Am I gal, mori, street? I don't know. I hate to be the girl whose like "I'm gal! I'm gal!" But then I do a disservice to the community, because I realize there is a culture behind the look. Its more than just clothes...:/ hmmph.

And I say this because I don't want to be a disservice to you! I LOVE I ADORE, my gal friends. i truly truly do, I adore my mori, street, whatever, i love you for you not your false lashes! But it seems for me I just cannot keep a look straight. To be honest in that outfit I had above I felt most comfortable. I know tie die rompers are on trend in the gal community, so is cowboy boots and braids, but that look doesn't seem gal to me either. It just seems like me. I'm not really sure what I like anymore...jack of all trades master of none :(

BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, I LUVS ROWKY! FOH SHIZ...ROWKY'S THA SH*T. I love its vintage sensibilities XD.

Does this mean i like korean fashion now, not really. guh...i don't know I feel like I'm going in circles, next week I'll want to be 100% gal, & mori makes me look fat, and blah blah blargh!

Summer start, New Job

Hello All,

I know I disappeared (as always) but I have still been faithful on most of your blogs (to the best of my ability) I bet lots of you are wondering where I been!! Well, I started a new job...!!

I know you're probably thinking "what another job! good grief girl" But I was able to quit all my other jobs and just work this one, like a normal person (haha) It's full time (booo...but I guess its time I finally became an adult..and i likes monies) and it's GRAPHIC DESIGN, I got promoted from being a tour guide to a graphic designer. I know it seems lot an odd correlation, but I showed my boss my portfolio and he was like "go ahead a move into that department" The other job I had working in my school's graphic design lab ended because it was a semester scholarship, working there paid for half my tuition but it's not like a salary based job. I now have money to shop online from Japan and travel!! And I get to wear cute outfits everyday (versus a uniform) which I'll try to remember to post. The place is really relaxed, mostly hipsters, so you know I'm at home (haha)

I was inspired by the Cher Spring/Summer Catalog with just the pure yellow

I'm right next to some really cute neighborhoods because my office is on the other side of town, plus I'm only a stones through from wicker park.

So far this is my first week, it's very fun. So far I've been in designing T-shirts and notebook covers. I'm now doing some web design. Here's an example of one of my shirt designs. I know this one will not get chosen by the president because it's probably too cute, but you never know, sometimes you have to sneak stuff in!! XD

This was a good week, tiring but good! And even today since Panda and his dad were next door they brought me lunch from Penny's one of my favorite city haunts (thai food :) ) It's in wicker park, if you are ever in the area and only have like 6 bucks and want a full belly, go to penny's!!

Also, yesterday I was able to get some new make up after work. It was mineral blush and only *drum roll please* $2.79!!! WHHAAAA--YEAAAAH! I got it at this small beauty supply, its made in LA, so I'm happy it's local. (I try to be green..i suppose shipping clothes from asia is not very green..oh well..)

I was debating to get either canmake or NARS, canmake is cheap and NARS is expensive, neither are mineral make up and I have major sensitive skin. Plus I'm not sure if canmake is made for people of my skin tone (lets be honest, yo) but this looks just as great! easy application, blends wonderfully, looks like Nars "organism" and it shows up on camera.

I'm no beauty guru nor care to be, but I do love this stuff. I might have to go back and buy the rest. I know sometimes beauty supply stores get overstock items and their products change. I want to try all the colors!!! I agree with Hana too about spending good money on foundation, but for play why spend so much if you end up not liking it or it breaks you out.

Anyway, it's finally the weekend! Do you have any plans? I have none yet, but we'll see...

London Calling

As I get older I find myself becoming bored, more and more easily. I think a lot of it comes from during the summer i move back in with my parents when my apartment lease goes up...and sometimes it gets to me...

keep in mind it is *I* who lives in merry ole chicago, my family lives in a small town on the out skirts of the city. so there isn't much to do out here. Yes we have a wal-mart *snore* and a like a dairy queen *bigger snore* but it is far from the artistic thrusts of wicker park *chicago'sversion of williamsburg, need a better example, chicago's hipster version of shibuya, need a better example, chicago's version of Camden*

I miss it everyday, but I cannot necessarily afford to drive up there at my everywhim, I suppose I neglected to say that..uh, I can't drive -_-...I grew up so close to the city that I never needed too, but public transit is getting rather expensive that the cost to drive is almost cheaper than taking the metra into the city, PLUS i dont live within walkin distance of metras, so therefore I am stuck in the burbs, and versus wallowing up in tears every day (because I do love the burbs, if you live in the midwest we do have some pretty nice greenery to keep you entertained, i love forest, my parents house is actually in the forest, rather cute indeed) I just wish I could have the best of both worlds, I suppose I should learn to drive, buy a car, then I could have both...:/

BUT I DIGRESS, and return to my statement before...sometimes when you get older you have to make things more interesting, so yesterdee Panda and I decided to make it British Night, oh yeah, thats right...!!!!

I don't think i ever made this clear either, but my love for London is probably up there for my love for Tokyo, I'm such an expatriate, even Panda is not American, he came here when he was five, don't get me wrong i love the US, but uh...again, I get bored easily...therefore...

I commend the night, i got all dressed up street style like, taking fashion inspirations from some of the brit gals on lookbook.nu..

I don't think you can see my floral skirt too well, BUT i definitely think I should wear heels more often :) I do hate how the camera captures my hair like a big mass...

We went to this new restaurant they opened in town that is supposed to be a creole fest (being creole I'll be the JUDGE OF THAT) but we just got fish and chips, it was rather good actually! It wasn't just fried fish fat and sticks of hot grease, it was very fluffy and light, I didn't feel like I commited a cardnal sin...

then we jumped over to the video store and rented a grindehouse of hott fuzz and shawn of the dead. If you follow my tumblog (i hate that word) you will notice that I LOVE simon pegg!! tee hee! he's the cooliest! anyways, we actually never got to watching them, so we will continue the grindehouse tonight!

and I'm sure you are wondering why we never got to to, we'll, we were too busy watching these losers...(haha jk)

now I won't bore you with all of my doctor who fanboy-ness, but OMG i almost peed-ed my pants watching episode "4-5" OMG intense!!!

i really like the new doctor, i know i know, tennant has a faithful cult following, but even he wants smith to do well...and I really like smith's quirkiness, he's so odd it's absolutely adorable!

The Doctor: Legs. I’ve still got legs, good. Arms. Hands. Ooh, fingers, lots of fingers. Ears, yes. Eyes, two. Nose, I’ve had worse. Chin, blimey! Hair… I’m a girl!

Hah, I really find it humorous how he makes stabs at his own personal features. I realize he's young but he seems to be taking it very humbly; I'm happy he's not some Edward looking pretty boy, I know he's bubbling s heart throb fanbase (jeez...) I'm glad he's not like "oh I'm so hot, ladies grovel at me feet" please no more stuck up British imports please...And honestly a lot of what you see on Doctor who is him being his strange self, i found this picture of him at coachella and was like "OMG I LOVE YOU FOR THIS"

a floral backpack...A FLORAL BACKPACK....five stars, he even said he wanted the doctor to start wearing a hat because he loves hats, he even came up with most of his costume, ah i like actors that are creative and have brains than just puppets...

anyway, turned out Panda and I had a great time! Today we need to go costume shopping and I'll show you why later! So if you feel like your getting bored with the mundanity that is life, mix it up have a theme night! Speak all proper, grab a pint at the pub and watch a few blokes on the telly, its really fun! reminded me of my days as a theatre major..haha, i hated studying dialects...

Today, was a good day...I mean it...it was!

This rarely happens, that I look back and say "today was good" for absolutely nothing CRAZY SPECTACULAR-YA-KNOW-LIKE-WIN-A-YEAR-TRIP-TO-JAPAN good...I do have good days, don't get me wrong, but today just seemed kinda groovy..heh

For starters I had to go to the hospital with my mom, she needed to get some things examined "upstairs", I was really worried and thought she might have breast cancer, it's really been kinda bumming me out these past days, not such much bum but stress....but turns out, ITS JUST NOTHING! We were so happy, she had to have sugery anyway, and it took like 10mins and was no intrusive...

so since we were in the city, we decided to do a bit of shopping! I didn't buy much but I did try laura mecier's tinted moisturizer, (thanks to shompnchomp) I LOVE THE COVERAGE, but it so $$, even the clinique I have isn't over 15, the most I've spent is on pure minerals which was almost 30...but $44? I denno, do I love it that much???? I've been wearing it all day to see if I get a breakout, it does really brighten my skin though! which I loooove! I might just have to sacrifice my comic book money on this, I'm all about nice foundation, I could care less about brand eye shadows since I barely wear it, but foundation is wear it starts, and I'm getting rather tired of my revlon crap that fades after 2hrs...I bought it cuz it was on sale, and FOR ONCE it matched my skin tone, other than this, I usually buy organic make up..but we will see...I think I'll try Tarte next, then allow time to tell...

I also was able to try Japan home grown "beard papa" while in the mall..but I'll do more of an extensive review on that later...

on another happy note, they finally allowed wii to be connected to netflix-SCORE!!

But on the last great note is from the sweetest PETSUGAR!! I won The First Ever Drop Dead Cutest Award!! Hee hee, thanks sweetie! I suppose from here I should drop a little excerpt from 'sugar

it was drawn by Panda, it's me and him. He feel so large compared to me and he's one of the few people who make me feel cute and tiny. That's his old car that's in heaven now (haha) and his new GTO in the background. This picture always makes me smile and reminds me why I love this guy...

After working in the costume shop this year at school I am feeling more confident in my own sewing. Therefor there are definitely some things I want to make, I am glad that I am still a student because I get to have my summer's off..TECHNICALLY I should be graduating this spring, BUT i am a transfer student and I changed majors which set me back TWO YEARS, siiiigh duck, but at the same time, I look at my life and I so would not be ready to graduate right now. I mean I do refuse to get married until I graduate but as I get older it seems like the longer it's going to be before I can do soooo..

but I digress, I'm talking about DIY ya'll...I have had the time to sit around and think about this today because I have food posioning..YAY! DX So instead of remodeling I am in the bed..boo hoo..

Here are some of my summer prospects:

I always wanted a skirt like this, but because I have a funny butt that makes everything shorter in the back, so I like to make my own skirts so when it gets breezy..I think you catch my drift..hahah!

I mentioned this before but I am going to make this head band..

I already got the fabric (only 1.99 a yard and I only bought a 1/4 yard :D ) I bought it in the fabric district of Chicago which is WAY cheaper than buying crap from Joanns, AND the quality is the same the designers use in the city..

I want to make some miumiu imitations like this cat collar thanks to petsugar! I'm sure it's going to look sooo fetch in my morigal looks!

plus I want to make these shorts with this fabric I got from Ikea, it has a bird pattern as well, and I think it would be so cute ! thanks Sasa for this idea!

I'm really love this animal print look for spring. I'm all about incorporating your own style into the mix. It doesn't all have to be nautical stripes and denim shirts. Why not be you too?

I really want to make a bow tshirt, super simple don't you think? all i need is like an american apparel t and some cotton polkadot fabric...

I am really digging my curls and I want to rock more gal with what God gave me so I am interested in making some mad headresses!

Finally, I really want to make a pair of ruffled shorts. These ones from free people have the right idea. I am not really into cutesy cute. I hate that, atleast on my body, but I do like some touches of sweetness. I really want to make these out of a khaki cotton, maybe in an army green would be cute :)

Other than that, I think i might dye parts of my hair purple. I'm feeling kinda BORED..hah!

PLUS, gulico is NO MORE in zipper..WHHHHY, she was my favorite, i hope to see her in something else soon!!!
