expect more post like this because I am staked on photos and insist on you looking at them all! Working with my mom this past weekend was amazing, I got to meet some designers from project runway along with people from all over the world. It inspired me to talk some fashion courses while I'm forced to be in school forever, so expect some of that later...! As you may already know I just love the fasion world more than anything....

Looky Loo

Well this is exciting really it is! I always wanted to be on lookbook.nu, never really had the balls to do it. Now I'm officially signed on and this is my first look! What do you think. Hype if you like..;) This truly is a great start to my weekend ^-^

So, as you can probably see, my style is ever evolving, always changing. I cannot seem to keep a genre. I think it's because I fear lables, i hate commitment. It really is a mystery to me on how I was even able be with Panda this long because to be honest...I'm a runner...haha. This is why I have no girl friends, I just hate to put in the work..:P...

But yeah, I don't really know what my style is. Am I gal, mori, street? I don't know. I hate to be the girl whose like "I'm gal! I'm gal!" But then I do a disservice to the community, because I realize there is a culture behind the look. Its more than just clothes...:/ hmmph.
And I say this because I don't want to be a disservice to you! I LOVE I ADORE, my gal friends. i truly truly do, I adore my mori, street, whatever, i love you for you not your false lashes! But it seems for me I just cannot keep a look straight. To be honest in that outfit I had above I felt most comfortable. I know tie die rompers are on trend in the gal community, so is cowboy boots and braids, but that look doesn't seem gal to me either. It just seems like me. I'm not really sure what I like anymore...jack of all trades master of none :(

BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, I LUVS ROWKY! FOH SHIZ...ROWKY'S THA SH*T. I love its vintage sensibilities XD.

Does this mean i like korean fashion now, not really. guh...i don't know I feel like I'm going in circles, next week I'll want to be 100% gal, & mori makes me look fat, and blah blah blargh!

ON ANOTHER NOTE...

Here's this weeks snaps, outfits are kinda toned down for work I suppose, can't pull out all the stops of my boss might stop me on the way in..har har...(bad quality, i know...)

I'm thinking of getting a twitter, a personal one too, I have one for the zine, but I always am taking snaps of stuff and have no wear to place them on my blog...so if I get one, lets be friends if you have one!

i'm not dead

hey guys, sorry for being MIA for like A MONTH...theres been a lot going on, I got strep and i'm super stressed with the zine its so much work and its due out Monday!!! But i needed a break so i decided to blog to you.

I decided to change out my bloggy, it needed some sunshine, the last one was too gloomy. heehee. I'm SO ready for spring. I suppose I was subliminally by MIA for being MIA--LAWLS.

The little brown dude is a chibi me btw..heehee, and MISTER DONUT-ME LUVS DONUTS!

Anyways, I think it reflects my personality. Does anyone else feel like they have been going through changes, like things you onced liked you no like no more? I feel that way....

I know I keep referring to this post, but I remember making this big deal about liking uzzlang style. And after Christmas i'm just not loving it anymore. Perhaps its the fact that I like to wear clothes that fit my body as woman, and some of the styles are like oversized, and with my boobage I just look kinda crazy. I'm learning to dress for this body, with things that I like.

And I believe that this is all about finding a personal style. You try things and realize what works, and what doesn't. For some Lolita works, for others Visual Kei, some really like gal and others really don't. But as we grow we find out what looks nice on us and what just looks ridiculous. And dressing in uzzlang style made me feel not quite right. I can admire it (like gal style) but it doesn't work for me.

I think it started a few weeks ago when I looked at the Feb Vivi, I really adored the 60s inspired style and Kiko's haircute is LOVE, I really like the combitnations of girlie and tomboy. Kiko and Lena pull it off really well. I have always been a fan of gamine style and I think I'm finally allowing it to take over my wardrobe. I even cleaned out my closets!

I have always loved JILLE and Zipper, and even FUDGE magazines, and I realized that I always enjoyed that "relax kei" style. Its still hipster ish, it still has stripes and junk but it just looks better on me it's like france meets japan. and I LOVE IT. (If you read this months JILLE or FUDGE you'll get what I mean by what style I enjoy)

this blogger is a perfect example of the look,
she is perfection!

I was desperately looking for these looks in YESSTYLE and I think the brand Spring Girl does a good job with the street look. I really love these looks!

the detailing on this skirt is so cute!

I like the suspenders and the acid wash. '
It still says korean/japanese style without having to be oversized.

Love this coordinate!

I have always been a fan of J.Crew, Anthropologie, Free People, Marc Jacobs, Nanette Lepore, and Rebecca Taylor. And I think i'm just going to focus on these looks than anything else. (As for Japanese Brands I like WC even though its gal its ADORABLE, i also enjoy RNA, Milkfed, Uniqlo, Tsumori Chisato..)

BUT IVE BEEN SO GOOD saving money! I said I wouldnt buy clothes until I got to my ideal size, I've lost 4.5kg since the new year! And I don't want to buy stuff now that won't fit later. I'm saving for a spree in the spring. I should be good by then. And believe me I've been working hard, but now living better and making healthier choices has just become easier than work :).

Anyway guys, now I'm super hungry and I need to get back to work. i'll be lurking on your blogs and finally commenting and getting back into the blog swing, but especially after the 1st. thanks everyone for your support. no worries, I'm back! (and thanks for following :D )

And a special thanks to Lissy about my valentine award! I'll post about it soon.

rainy day blues

Do you ever get those rainy day blues? My roommate refers it as post-holiday blues. We were on such a high with Christmas and New Years, friends and family. Vacation!!!

Now it's back to school, work, all that drab, and on top of it all, Chicago has been soooo

rrraaaaaaaaaiiiiinnnnnnnyyyyyyyyyyyy

Don't get me wrong, I like rainy days, its just these have been adding to the dreary-ness of the post season.

Rainy days do give me hope, they allow me to believe that spring is coming!! On last thursday I got caught in the rain, (i usually expect snow) I chilled in a Starbucks to get away from it all, sometimes I just need to chill, going back to my apartment makes me feel "bleh" sometimes, it prevents me from being creative....i just feel sleepy (maybe because its soooo dry in there!)

Whilst drinking my unbelievably expensive 8oz tea, i sketched out my feelings....

please dont steal this w/o permission, i will find you and disembowel you :D
this character belongs to me

I'm still feeling a little bleu, part of it is missing Late Nite with Coco (WHY NBC WHY!!?) His last show nearly made me cry, but he's such a good guy, i'm sure he'll be back, and I'll be there. ( i wish i went to his show when he came to chicago!!! gah!) Other part is that I'm homesick. Most of my friends are at different schools and i only see them during breaks, and now that Panda's graduated i dont see him as much either. My brother works all the time, and my mom has another show coming up...so we are all back in the hustle and bustle...

I'm very much looking forward towards valentines day. It is actually (well the 12th is) the day i first talked to Panda 5 years ago. I invited him to my art show...he didnt come....but he's always made it up to me...

although despite all the rainy day slump, you know what always cures it...SHOPPING! At least window shopping (which you can do online, i feel like it helps me realize more that i have no money versus going to the store and impluse buying..heh..which was really HARD to do when i went to F21 after getting caught in the rain and saw this fifi shirt!!!) Pet Sugar did a great post on her.

I know i know I made this big schpeal about not liking gal, BUT HOT DAMN, it's soooo hard! Looking at the Feb Vivi (which i know isn't totally gal >:) ) Made me want to buy everything In the mag, I used to love it, then i didnt now i think I like it again.

I'm kinda glad to see everyone ditch there weaves for new cute crops...although i think Kiko really chopped hers off, she so much more edgy now! Luv it!

Oi! I have a question for you fashionistas out there? How does one love both Zipper and Pop teen? How can i incorporate green hair with Nonno or Vivi style???

WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE A POSER?

Its so hard to choose a definite style, that i often fall into jeans and a cardigan! But what should I do? Most girls seem to fall into a category while i seems to blend all over...

how do you solve this?

Anyway, I should probably be paying attention in class now, so until next time

dont forget your umbrella
